I earned my bachelor's degree with a major in Biological Sciences and a minor in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and am now at the same institution, pursuing my MD/MPH in Public Health and Medicine. I've been working as a tutor from the time I started college. I've had the opportunity to tutor students online and in person, and all age levels from kindergarten all the way through the senior high school year. I have successfully assisted many students as they worked to achieve success in their academic life. As my degrees might indicate, I lean towards tutoring in the math and science areas, such as basic math, algebra, and advanced math topics like precalculus and more. But I am also capable of tutoring students in language arts classes, including reading and writing, and can help students as they prepare for standardized tests, such as the ACT. I've found that each student is unique, and have learned to quickly pick up on things such as their interests, best style of learning, and strengths and challenges. These enable me to create an individualized study plan for each student, which leads them to success, which brings confidence, which brings success, and so on.
